Photography - Week 17: 5/18-5/22

Digital Portfolio: Due Monday 5/18

Now it is time to fill your Foxcroft Digital Portfolio with all of the projects you have worked so hard on this semester!

Your portfolio should already be broken up into submenus with the following genres:

  • Still Life - images of small objects arranged by the photographer or captured as they are found

  • Portraiture - this includes any photographs of a person or an object. Usually are headshots but can incorporate other features

  • Portraits - more elaborate than snapshots of people, as these images convey something about their subjects

  • Landscape (Seascape/Cityscape) - these all focus on landforms, both natural and man-made

  • Nature (Wildlife) - this refers to images of plants and animals although it can incorporate landscape too

  • Architecture - this photography looks at buildings and architectural features

  • Photojournalism (Documentary/Sports/Action) - these images freeze action and also work to tell a story

  • Inside Out - conveys aspects of identity

You have 10 images that you will need to upload to your portfolio on the appropriate genre pages, including the specific projects outlined below. The captions should include a title, year, and corresponding artist statements if they can be copied and pasted from your weekly posts on Wix.

  1. Inside Out - NOTE: If you completed this project and still have access to it, you can upload the file...OR you can upload one of the final images you shot.

  2. Environmental Art

  3. Lessons You Have Learned in Your Life So Far

  4. Science Photography

  5. Photographer Quote - NOTE: Pick one composition with your own photograph

  6. - 8. Image Series

9. - 10. YOUR CHOICE - Select 2 additional images that are portfolio worthy that you

have taken this semester.

  • What were some of my most challenging moments and what made them so?

  • What did you learn were your greatest strengths?

Only include an artist statement if you have already written one. Every image does need to include a title and year.

Hi Mrs. Fisher! So should the 10 pictures we upload to the portfolio all need to have an artist statement? Thank you!
