Photography - Week 14: 4/27-5/1

Updated: Apr 28, 2020

  • Creative Cloud and Classroom Forum: Due Tuesday 4/28

  • Save your Photoshop file as a JPEG in the FXC Photography folder on Creative Cloud titled, "Quote."

  • Create a new post on the Classroom Forum titled, "Week 13: Quote Composition"

  • Review all of your classmates' projects and provide constructive feedback on two or more of their projects.  Explain what you think will be successful and why. Outline new approaches and other things for them to consider as well.  Be sure not to repeat any one else's comments.

  • Continue expanding on the ideas expressed in this quote, and determine how you can create new work even within your immediate surroundings.  Develop a concept that still taps into what you love about the medium of photography. Shoot between 15 to 30 new images and upload them into dated folders in your Google Drive.  You may even select a new quote if you prefer. While you’re composing your photographs, remember to incorporate negative space to leave room for an open area to overlay text.

  • Select your best images and continue editing in Photoshop to find new ways to combine this image with text.

  • Save your image as a JPEG in the “Quote” Creative Cloud folder.

Photoshop and Classroom Forum: (5pts) Due Thursday 4/30

  • Create a new post titled, “Week 14: Quote Comparison” and post your first version and second version.

  • Find two or more classmates to comment on their work.  Explain which version you like better and why. Be specific in describing both the qualities of the photograph, text, and the combination of the two.
