The quote that stood out to me the most was: “Total control can be the death of a work.” This quote really resonated with me. Whenever I am taking pictures half of my pictures are not really planned ahead of time. More so, I just bring my camera everywhere I go, and I see something and I have a split second of planning before I take the picture. On the other hand, when a picture is pre-planned, I have a general plan but I set it up with an open mind, sometimes accidents are better than the original idea. As for my favorite picture, it's the one with the icicle on the rock. I love how the icicle looks illuminated by the sun hitting it from both sides. In addition I really like the texture, with the snow in the ground with rocks scattered around. There is also a lot of motion shown from the water.
