Creative Cloud and Classroom Forum: (5pts) Due Tuesday 4/14

Save your final edited Photoshop version of your Typography project to the your Creative Cloud Files - FXC Photogragraphy - Typography. Be sure you rename your files “LASTNAME Typography 2, 3, 4, etc.

Create a post titled, “Week 11: My Lesson” and post your final typography project. Include an artist statement that outlines what you created, how you created it and why.

Google Drive: (4pts) Due Thursday 4/16

Choose Your Own Adventure!


Pick one of the categories above to be your main focus over the next week. You will start with dedicated research on this category and complete a minimum of two separate photoshoots between now next Monday 4/20. Each photo shoot should include between 15-30 images and be uploaded into dated folders on Google Drive in a new folder titled, "Science Photography."


You will select and edit your strongest photograph from these photo shoots to submit in the Science Photography Contest. You also have the option to submit work to the remaining seven categories. Feel free to explore these by photographing new subjects, or you can select from your previous image library.


Add a new Google Slide Presentation in your Science Photography folder titled, "Photographer Analysis"


Find two professional photographers to gain inspiration for how you might approach your own photography within this category. Layout their work on three separate slides as follows add the following 4 slides:


  • Slide 1 - Category Title

  • Slide 2 - 1st Photographer and two images with captions (title, year) + 1 Element + 1 Principle of Design that provides the most visual impact.

  • Slide 3 - 1st Photographer and two images with captions (title, year) + 1 Element + 1 Principle of Design that provides the most visual impact.

  • Slide 4 - One image from each of the 1st and 2nd Photographer placed side by side + Reflect on how you will take direct inspiration from the photographers in your own experiments with this category of photography


Classroom Forum: (1pt) Due Thursday 4/16

On your Photographer Analysis Google Slides, go to Share > Get Shareable Link > Copy Link. Create a New Post in the Photography Classroom Forum titled “Week 12: Photographer Analysis” and paste the shareable link.


Enter one category with your newest work. You have the option to enter the remaining categories with new and/or old work.
