I really like this sculpture because of the way the light illuminated the ice and turned it gold. When he was building this sculpture he didn't get it done by the time he wanted to, but it turned out better because of the way the sun hit the ice. He used the line of the ice to move your eye around the picture. The color of the ice puts emphasis on it because the background is dull. This picture uses texture because the ice is shiny and slippery, whereas the rock it rough. There is a sense of unity in the picture because the ice looks like it's flowing through the rock.
