I thought it was fascinating after Sally Mann takes a picture, she writes about it without looking at the picture. She tries to remember what she actually saw and not just what was photographed. Because she realized she only remembered the photo and not the scene around her. I feel like this is really is essential to remember not just the photograph but what actually happened, because those are the details that stay with you. I found that really interesting because whenever I just took a photo, I only remember the photo, but reflecting on it just now I used a specific photoshoot, I remembered so much more than the photo, and sometimes it is good to step back from the photo and remember the circumstances of why you took the photo.
