"You get what you work for, not what you wish for"
I am a rider, and more specifically an eventer. I became a working student at a barn nearby for an upper-level rider and worked there for three years, and to be honest, they were the three hardest years of my life. I wanted to be a really good rider, but I knew I couldn't be if I only hoped for it. So I worked really hard until I got the opportunity to work for that woman and then I worked my absolute hardest for three years until I came to Foxcroft. Once I left, I got a lot of offers to work at other barns nearby and I realized that although I had to work really hard, and they were not the easiest three years, it opened up a lot of doors for me and gave me a lot of new opportunities.
I'm not sure how I would go about making this into a photograph but I think I could maybe take pictures of some tools or something like that and then put text in afterward in photoshop. If anyone has any ideas on things I could photograph I would love to hear them!!
I think that a way you could do that is have two pictures: one of you (or somebody else) reaching ineffectually towards an object in a high place, and another one of you (or that person) standing on something to get a better angle. The second picture would be first. You could put the words on a whiteboard or paper and display them somewhere prominent.
