WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?
For my final year project I plan to create a series of three pictures titled “The Irony of the Eras”. My focus is on looking at different periods of time in different ways. The irony comes to play because one picture will be a modern look at something from the past (this picture will be in color), and then vise versa (in black and white), then leaving the final picture to be where the two roads cross (this picture will be partially in color and partially in black and white). I want two of the pictures to vastly contrast and have the final picture that bridges a gap between the pictures and the decades.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO DO IT?
This concept is something that is a huge part of my identity. Although I was born in this modern digital age, I still have such a strong connection with the past, specifically through old technology such as cameras and music. I feel that I connect most to the picture that represents where the two roads cross. I have major influences from both the modern day as well as older influences that have greatly shaped my personality.
HOW DO YOU WANT TO DO IT?
I hope to create a series of artwork that can work together and portray my message clearly. I think my knowledge of Photoshop and lightroom has greatly improved in light of the recent events, and I think that will be helpful in creating the specific look I want to achieve. One skill that I know I will be gaining through the process is working with colorful artificial lighting to achieve the color that I want.
