Here are my final 2 photos:
My lesson is "Change is hard, but it helps us grow". To make these photos I wrote out the words on a piece of paper, and I colored them in. I chose dark blue for the color of the words in the first picture because it evokes a sad feeling, therefore conveying the message "Change is hard". I tried to darken up the photo in photoshop and add a bit of a blue tint to further convey this feeling. I put the paper on a bush with a flower that hadn't bloomed yet; that flower is going through a significant period of change, so it seemed like the perfect spot to take the photo. For the second photo, I took a photo of the same type of flower that had bloomed. I wanted the words to be in bright happy colors to convey the message that it will be okay in the end. While photographing, I got pictures of a couple of different types of flowers, some were of the same type of flower in the first picture, but others were a different type of flower that had already bloomed. I decided to use the picture with the same type of flowers because it connects the two photos; if I used different types of flowers there wouldn't be a link between the two pictures. I brightened up this photo in photoshop to further convey the message: "It helps us grow". The abundance of bright green leaves communicates the message because the color we associate with growing is green.
