This piece is so cool! I really like this image because of the color, the red and green contrast makes the words pop out. If the background was let’s say orange you wouldn’t get that same effect. The red is outlined by this really light green rim and that also contributes to the red popping out. Also, this piece of work has balance, if you cut it in the middle it would be pretty even. This work also uses lines, all the leaves are lines and all the words all use lines, lines contribute to this piece in a meaningful way because if there were no lines, there would be no words. This piece also uses repetition, there are 3 watermelon pieces all lined up with each other. Another example of reputation in this piece is the leaves, there are so many branches and it looks like there are two different types of leaves (looks like, I am no expert). There are so many branches in the background, and the repetition of these branches help make the background a background, if there were only a couple branches you could see through, to the ground. But since there are multiple layers you only see green.
