I followed Mrs. Fisher's tutorial with my design. I opened the second image in Illustrator, reduced the opacity, and started using the pen tool to trace. I decided to greatly simplify the image. Initially, I tried to outline the rocks on the left. However, it turned into a big grey blob, and I thought it was better without it. Other than that I only had one minor issue. I learned through my own error that if a layer is not visible when selected you cannot draw. I did not know this and was frustrated until I realized my mistake. I would like to be able to include the rocks and maybe the trees in my design. To do this, I think I would need to learn more advanced color options. I think the rocks would look better if I could do shadows and highlights.
